Haruko and Co.

So this isn’t all finished and pretty. Sorry kiddies! But the last (for now) of my slew of updates is my current character modeling project, which is Haruko, Kanti, and Haruko’s guitar and Vespa (all from FLCL). So far I’ve worked mostly on Haruko, so I’m starting with some WIP shots of her.

This is the first time I’ve ever done really high-poly without Zbrush, and the only time I’ve done high-poly aside from Zbrush class. It’s been fun and challenging. Still got a loooooooong way to go.

Deep Sea Sub… Fancy Thing

Can you tell I’m just getting everything together for portfolio for GDC? This is the main assignment from my mapping for games class, which I love, and it was a lot of fun. Might still have to tweak it a leetle, but in the interest of sanity I’m pretty much calling it.:)

Lowpoly Harley Quinn

One of my classes this quarter is character modeling, which I have long professed a deep distaste for and now freaking LOVE. (This tends to happen a lot when I actually have some idea what I’m doing/try something/etc.)

One of our first assignments was a 1500 tri character, unwrapped. I did Harley and thought it was kind of silly to leave a model I was pretty pleased with unwrapped and grey and boring, so I went ahead and textured her up.
